Challenge
DBS Bank across the world has a mission to empower social entrepreneurs by providing them financial tools. Under this programme, the brand owns 'Portraits of Purpose', a property in which social entrepreneurs are profiled for others to get inspired. For the season 2 of the property, the brand reached out to us to turn these profiles into mini biopics.
Insight
Every setback is a springboard.
Idea
Each of these stories carried an undercurrent of resilience, a sense of responsibility towards community, a determination for social reform, and a drive to bring real change in the lives of the marginalised. So rather than doing thank-you-for-the-support testimonials, we crafted these character-led films.
Execution
We interviewed numerous social entrepreneurs working with Tata Institute of Social Science and DBS Bank. Three most potent stories were shortlisted, the entrepreneurs were extensively interviewed and three films were crafted to celebrate the spirit of these modern reformers.
